Georgetown
Georgetown (2 day trip)
This is an overnight trip, which gives you the chance to see the real Gambian way of living through its rich landscape and local villages. You also have the opportunity to take a boat trip to baboon island, where you may see chimpanzees, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, monkeys and different species of birds.
Travelling on the south bank, upon arrival at Jarra Soma you will proceed to the ferry crossing point to Fara Feni in the north. You will also visit the stone cycles before driving to Georgetown. Once there, on a city tour you will visit the underground slave house, freedom tree, the old wooden house and the slave warehouse. The night stop will be at a local camp where you will spend the night on the island of Georgetown.
The following day after breakfast we will leave on the south bank with interesting stops at various points on the way back to your hotel.
